A Life-Changing Practice

The aim of this 15-minute relaxation meditation is to relieve your mind of  busy-ness and reconnect you with Universal energy.

“It doesn’t work”…

Many people say past personal development processes ‘don’t work’, mainly because they haven’t monitored their progress. Often progress happens little by little and compounds into something amazing, but they don’t realize the incremental changes that make monumental differences.

That’s why I suggest you set up an Observation Deck of your life. It could be a diary, a computer file or thoughts you dictate into a recorder. Here are a few steps to monitor progress in relation to this audio.

Observation Deck

Describe your state of being, how you’ve felt over the last 3 months, describing the predominant states; e.g. hopeful, loving, fearful.  Access the I Feel list of emotions which you can use as a reference.

Just prior to listening to the audio sit in a quiet space, take a few deep breaths and take the time to check in and see where you’re at that very moment. Use the list of emotions to help identify your state.

Preparing for the Practice

Once you have completed the above, rest in a position that is comfortable to you and where you will be undisturbed for the next 15 minutes. It doesn’t matter if you sit or lay down; just make sure you can breath easily. Whatever you experience is exactly what’s supposed to happen. It could range from falling into a deep state of relaxation and following the process from beginning to end, to feeling restless in the beginning and sometimes even falling asleep. If you find you are falling asleep each time, try doing the session at different times of the day. If you are not in synch with the breathing guidance, don’t worry, simply breath at your own comfortable and normal pace. Rest assured should you need to emerge from the session for any reason, you will do so easily, as you are completely in control.
